Donald Trump greets Tamils, Sinhala, Bengalis on their New Year

The United States President Donald Trump has extended greetings to Sri Lankans, Tamilians and Bengalis on their New Year. This day is Aluth Aurudu and is an important national holiday for both Sihalese and Tamilians. In Bengal, however, this day is called Pohela Boishakh and will be celebrated on 15th April.
