Supreme Court today refused to stay its verdict on SC/ST Act in which it had ruled that anticipatory bail should be granted by the courts unless there was a prima facie case against the accused under the Act. Rejecting stay, SC says it is not against the Act, but only concerned that innocents should not be punished unilaterally due to misuse of the Act. Watch this video for more details.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने एससी एसटी एक्‍ट पर दिए अपने फैसले पर रोक लगाने से इनकार कर दिया है। कोर्ट ने सभी पार्टियों से इस मुद्दे पर अपने विचार दो दिनों के भीतर देने का निर्देश दिया है। मामले की अगली सुनवाई 10 दिन बाद की जाएगी। इस दौरान कोर्ट ने कहा कि वो ऐक्ट के खिलाफ नहीं है लेकिन निर्दोषों को सजा नहीं मिलनी चाहिए। सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने कहा है कि जो लोग सड़कों पर प्रदर्शन कर रहे हैं उन्होंने हमारा जजमेंट पढ़ा भी नहीं है। हमें उन निर्दोष लोगों की चिंता है जो जेलों में बंद हैं। पूरी जानकारी के लिए देखें ये वीडियो |
