Steve Smith breaks down and the cricketing world loses a star player
  • 6 years ago
Steve Smith has been in the eye of the storm ever since the press conference he did with Cameron Bancroft in South Africa. He admitted that it was under his leadership that a plan for ball tampering was used. Under the ICC rules, the maximum punishment that has ever been given for ball tampering is a 2 match ban. But the problem lied back home for Smith. He was heckled at the airport and from being the most loved cricketer, he became the person who let down his country and fans. He was sanctioned a 1 year ban by Cricket Australia. And, as soon as he broke down while doing a press conference in Australia, the entire cricketing world was shook. The batsman who is averaging only next to the great Sir Don Bradman won't be able to play cricket anymore. Has the cricketing world become poorer with his absence?
