Rahul Gandhi calls Tipu Sultan 'symbol of harmony'; government to withdraw 131 Muzaffarnagar cases

In a controversial move, the Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh has initiated process of withdrawing 131 cases linked to the 2013 communal riots in Muzaffarnagar and Shamli. The cases include 13 murders and 11 attempt to murder cases. The Congress has hit out at the BJP for what it called BJP's appeasement politics. Meanwhile, in Karnataka, Rahul Gandhi in his visit to the poll bound state called Tipu Sultan a symbol of communal harmony. The BJP now has trained its guns on the Congress saying that the party itself is engaging in communal politics.
