Meghan McCain Says Melania Is Her ‘Favorite Trump’

Meghan McCain recently declared that first lady Melania Trump is her “favorite Trump."

Meghan McCain, daughter of Arizona Senator John McCain, recently declared Melania Trump as her "favorite Trump."  In an interview with Julie Mason of SiriusXM's 'Press Pool Profile,' Meghan said of the first lady, "I like her. And I don't know why everyone is such a hater on her. Seems like the worst job in the entire world."  She further commented, "I would love to hear her do more interviews and choose another platform other than cyber bullying to speak out on."
"I do like her. She's my favorite Trump, by far," Meghan added. Americans have been warming up to the first lady and, like Meghan, seemingly tend to prefer her to President Trump.  A December Gallup poll reported the president's favorability rating at 41%, while Melania's came in at 54%, a 17-point increase over her January 2017 numbers. Gallup attributes the bump in her rating to people getting more familiar with her in the first lady role. While Melania has established a presence on presidential trips and at events, she's been keeping a very low profile since the Wall Street Journal's mid-January report regarding her husband's alleged 2006 affair with adult film star Stormy Daniels.
Shortly after the news surfaced, the first lady's spokesperson, Stephanie Grisham, said on January 23 that her trip to Davos, Switzerland with the president was canceled due to "scheduling and logistical issues."
In more recent days, Melania notably broke tradition and traveled to the State of the Union address without the president.
