Meghan McCain recently revealed that she still misses her father, the late Senator John McCain, “so much…it physically hurts my heart.”
Meghan McCain recently revealed that she still misses her father, the late Senator John McCain, "so much…it physically hurts my heart." In a Monday Instagram post, she shared a picture of her sitting with him and wrote, in part: "66 days. I wake up every morning still instinctually trying and reaching to call you on the phone. I miss you so much Dad it physically hurts my heart. I miss your laugh, your voice, your dark sense of humor, the way you always made me feel safe in a world that seems to have lost its way." John McCain passed away on August 25 after a battle with brain cancer. Upon returning to ABC's 'The View' on October 8, Meghan McCain thanked "all of America for being so kind to my family." She also commented: "From the second that my father passed...there were people in the country — all races, all ages, all creeds — out there with American flags waving, saluting, praying...There was a lot of talk about what died with him…[his ideals]…but they didn't."
