Singer Sonu Nigam and two Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLAs, Ram Kadam and Ashish Shelar are getting death threats from fundamentalist groups due to Azaan controversy . According to reports, Maharashtra’s Intelligence Department has alerted Mumbai Police about Sonu Nigam and two Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLAs, Ram Kadam and Ashish Shelar's life being in danger. An advisory has been sent to the police which says that Sonu Nigam can be their target. It further says that Nigam can be attacked at any public place or during an event or promotional activity.
