ICSI as The Most Effective Treatment in Severest Male Infertility Cases

Dr. Julie Chhawchharia (Junior Consultant at International Fertility Centre), discusses about the ICSI (Intra cytoplasmic Insemination) as one of the best method in the severest degrees of male infertility. ICSI is the process where a single washed (quality) healthy sperm is selected and injected into the cytoplasm of the egg. About 75 – 80 % of the eggs get fertilized through ICSI. It is recommended when the male has sperm count less than 15 million per ml. In case of female with low ovarian reserve, ICSI can be used effectively.
