How Fibroids is contributing to growing cases of infertility among women

Progressing Fibroids in the uterus is the main contributing factor of female infertility. Fibroid is the extra proliferation o the smooth muscle of the uterus. The mass lesion in the uterus creates an obstruction in attaining pregnancy thereby causing female infertility. The growth of fibroid varies from innermost part to the outermost layer of the uterus. Due to distortion of the uterine cavity it can affect the sperm mobility thereby obstructing it. HOX 1 gene is responsible for the implantation of the uterus helping in attaining pregnancy. For treatment, laparoscopy is done to ensure les bleeding. Hysteroscopy is also done if the fibroid is in the innermost cavity of the uterus.
