FEMA Ends Food and Water Shipments to Puerto Rico, Reports Say On Wednesday, the Federal Emergency Management Agency will stop shipments to the island, an agency official told CNN. The agency has sent $1.6 billion worth of food and $361 million worth of water since the devastation caused by Hurricane Maria. According to reports, the government of Puerto Rico did not anticipate the order. Héctor M. Pesquera, government's public safety officer (CNN) FEMA allegedly confirmed it some supplies left to be distributed, if need be.
