President Trump lashed out at Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer on Tuesday over the border wall funding.
President Trump lashed out on Tuesday after reports that Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer had withdrawn his offer to pass funding for the border wall.
"Cryin' Chuck Schumer fully understands, especially after his humiliating defeat, that if there is no Wall, there is no DACA," Trump wrote on Twitter. "We must have safety and security, together with a strong Military, for our great people!"
The New York Times reported that Schumer's decision to retract the offer, "made on Sunday but revealed publicly on Tuesday, marked another turn in the fluid debate over how to shield from deportation hundreds of thousands of young immigrants brought to the country illegally as children."
Meanwhile, Schumer has repeatedly criticized Trump in the recent past over his negotiating tactics.
"Negotiating with President Trump is like negotiating with Jell-O," Schumer said on Saturday. "It's impossible to negotiate with a constantly moving target."
