Move Over WEF, Blockchain Davos Has Arrived

Investing.com - Cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology were hot topics at the World Economic Forum's annual meeting in Davos in 2017, but they are hard to find in the official agenda this year.The one and only event dedicated to either of the subjects is a panel discussion called "The Crypto-Asset Bubble" on Wednesday.What's more, the panel's membership does not include what would be considered major players in either blockchain or digital currencies. That's not to say that representatives of those two worlds won't be well represented on the streets of the tiny town in the Swiss Alps this week.An event called Blockchain Davos will take place for the first time.Described by one attendee as an exclusive, invite only gathering, Blockchain Davos is expected to be an annual event, coinciding with the original gathering of political, corporate and social leaders.Not much else about the event is known.
