Sarah Huckabee Sanders On Oprah Winfrey: 'I Disagree Very Much On Her Policies'

Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Tuesday weighed in on Oprah Winfrey as a presidential candidate in 2020.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said on Tuesday that she opposes a number of Oprah Winfrey's policies. When asked if she feels Winfrey is qualified to hold the high office, Sanders replied, "I disagree very much on her policies."  "Is she a successful individual? Absolutely, but in terms of where she stands on a number of positions, I would find a lot of problems with that, but that would be something she would have to determine and lay out if she made a decision to run…" Sanders further noted. Twitter users were quick to point out that Winfrey hasn't even publicly acknowledged the rumors and speculations about her entering the 2020 presidential race, let alone crafted policy statements.
One person asked, "Wait. Do we know Oprah's policies?" while another wrote, "Spoiler alert: Oprah doesn't have any policies."
However, Winfrey does have a point of view and expressed it during Sunday's Golden Globe Awards.  That powerful speech quickly made Oprah 2020 a trending topic, notes CNN.
There has since been a great deal of speculation about how a Winfrey-Trump faceoff would play out.  Winfrey has remained silent on that topic, but President Trump has expressed confidence that he would emerge victorious. Even though Trump doesn't think she'll run, he told reporters Tuesday, "Yeah, I'll beat Oprah. Oprah would be a lot fun." He also shared kind words about Winfrey, saying he knows her "very well" and "likes" her.
