The 2018 edition of the Dakar Rally is up and running with the 31km Stage 1 - Lima to Pisco.
The first stage was flagged off from the capital of Peru, Lima.
The first stage of the 2018 Dakar Rally was a short sprint of just 31km which also included a transport section of 242km.
The real essence of Dakar Rally begins from the second stage with long stage kilometres and harsh terrain and weather conditions. The second stage of the rally will be a 267km timed section with transport section of just 12km.
