Storm Eleanor Slams Coastal Town in Southwest Ireland

Storm Eleanor swept through Ireland on January 2, bringing strong winds and severe flooding to the country’s west.Around 55,000 households were left without power, according to Irish media RTE. A Status Orange alert warning of exceptionally high seas and flooding was raised in nine counties. In Clare County, where the video was shot, members of the public were advised to avoid the coast due to stormy conditions.The video shows waves crashing along the shoreline in Cappagh, Kilrush.Eleanor also brought damage across northern England, Northern Ireland and southwest Scotland, BBC reported.
