Storm Dylan battered the west coast of Ireland on Sunday night, sending large waves crashing into a car park in Salthill, Galway.

The storm lashed Ireland with wind speeds of close to 120km/hr as the west and north of the country experienced the worst of the weather.

The UK is also expected to be hit by the storm with power cuts, flooding and travel disruption are expected on New Year’s Eve.
