New Year's Eve Set For Record Cold
A torrent of arctic air is poised to chill North America on New Year's Eve.
From Maine to Montana, meteorologists are predicting recording-setting lows heading into 2018.
One expects New York City to have the coldest New Year's Eve in a century.
And those record-setting temperatures are expected to linger for at least a week.
Freezing rain is also expected as far south as Charleston, South Carolina.
But frigid conditions have already struck North Dakota and Minnesota, where the National Weather Service has issued a winter chill advisory.
