Ice Skaters Take to Alaska Glacier's Lake

It was a relatively balmy 24 degrees at the Mendenhall Glacier’s lake in Alaska on Wednesday, December 27, bringing out ice skaters. High temperatures around Juneau were in the 20s and 30s on Wednesday, warmer than some places near the Great Lakes.The National Forest Service warned people visiting the glacier to stay away from areas where ice is usually weak, including the glacier face, Nugget Falls and inlet streams.
