Alabama Republican Sen. Shelby: I’m “Relieved” Moore Lost

After a huge upset in the run senate race between Democrat Doug Jones, and Republican Roy Moore, Alabama’s own GOP Senator Richard Shelby admitted that he’s as “relieved” as many other Republicans are about Moores loss on Tuesday. Shelby didn't eagerly embrace a win for Jones, but he revealed he was pleased that Republican voters chose to distance themselves from someone Moore who he believed to be poisonous to the GOP.
