A group of Israeli settlers in Qusra, south of Nablus in the West Bank, sought refuge in a cave after scuffles with Palestinian villagers on November 30 led to the death of 48-year-old Mahmoud Oudeh. The IDF, who deployed to the area to protect the group of 15 settlers, claimed an armed Israeli civilian among the settlers fired in self-defense. The IDF said it opened an investigation into the incident. The Times of Israel reported Palestinian villagers began throwing stones on the crowd before an armed escort of the hiking group fired into the group of Palestinians. However, al-Jazeera said the Palestinian crowd only began throwing stones in reaction to Oudeh being shot. Credit: Facebook/QusraNow via Storyful
