Trump On Middle East Peace: 'I Will Get It All Done'

President Trump vowed to bring peace to the Middle East in a tweet on Friday.

President Trump on Friday tweeted a promise to reach peace in the Middle East.
"Will be speaking to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey this morning about bringing peace to the mess that I inherited in the Middle East," Trump wrote. "I will get it all done, but what a mistake, in lives and dollars (6 trillion), to be there in the first place!"
His administration has been preparing to tackle the long-enduring, and, as the many concerted efforts of his predecessors would suggest, seemingly unsolvable issue.
Jared Kushner, an adviser and son-in-law to the president, has made a number of trips to the region and met with the leaders of Israel and Palestine, notes the New York Times.
He is also said to have forged relationships with the leaders of Saudi Arabia.
Dennis Ross, a seasoned negotiator in the Middle East, recently told the New York Times that the team working to solve the disputes is being "taken seriously," and has "done a very good job of presenting themselves as having listened."
During a May joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump lauded the leader's cooperation in the effort.
"He's working very hard at it. It's not easy. I've heard it's one of the toughest deals of all, but I have a feeling that we're going to get there eventually, I hope," Trump commented.
