TILED TUB
The grays and blues of a California bathroom by Christina Rottman echo the Pacific Ocean just outside. The tub's teal tiles from Ann Sacks match an antique rug from Mansour to a T.
BASKET WEAVE
With Carrara marble peaking out from beneath the cast-iron clawfoot tub, a basket weave insert from Cumar provides additional detail in the center of a Massachusetts master bathroom. Interior designer Hattie Holland chose Farrow & Ball's Parma Gray for the trim since it "has a historic feeling with that gray cast and plays off the Carrara marble so well.
UNDULATING WAVES
Colleen Bashaw drew inspiration from soothing spas to pull together this guest bath. Floor tile from Studium ebbs and flows across the room, while Cole & Son's Palm Leaves wallpaper adds a tropical touch up top.
HEXAGONAL PATTERN
"I wanted drama!" says designer SuzAnn Kletzien of this daring en suite bathroom. The impact begins with a dynamic hexagonal-tile "rug" by Artistic Tile. In Nero Marquina, Pacific White and Thassos marbles, it's a luxe version of traditional penny-tile.
BRIGHT BLUE
Adriatic Sea tiles by Fireclay Tile line the shower in Justina Blakeney's "Jungalow." The pattern — and trio of niches — set off a jewel-like mirror.
NAVY WALLS
This "fisherman's shack" sits directly on top of the water, so bands of Ann Sacks tile echo ocean views outside. The floors look shipshape thanks to Carrara hexagonal tiles.
