DOJ halts AT&T-Time Warner merger

The AT&T-Time Warner $85.4 billion merger isn't complete just yet as the Justice Department (DOJ) has put a halt on proceedings. The DOJ is calling on AT&T and Time Warner to sell Turner Broadcasting, the group of cable channels that includes CNN. If the DOJ makes the demand a requisite, AT&T and Time Warner will probably challenge the agency and take the matter to court. It's unlikely the merger is completed before next year.
