Disney may soon acquire most of 21st Century Fox

Disney has been in talks to buy a considerable port of 21st Century Fox, CNBC's David Faber reported on Monday. The smaller 21st Century would focus on news and sports networks to better fit in the new media space. Disney originally planned to buy Fox's studio division, networks like FX and National Geographic, and other assets. But according to the report the deal would exclude Fox's broadcasting network because Disney cannot have two. With the news, 21st Century Fox's shares spiked six percent and Disney's gained one percent. Disney also announced back in August that it would be setting up its ow streaming service with the help of Netflix.
