Harvey Weinstein resigns from company board

After sexual harassment allegations turned into rape allegations against Harvey Weinstein, the reputation of The Weinstein Company was irrevocably changed. Now, former CEO has chosen to resign his position on the company's board. Sources say creative partners would not have continued business with the company if Harvey Weinstein was still working there after the scandal broke. Harvey still has a 20-plus percent stake in the business, according to Attorney Larry Hutcher, and he can kill future deals by refusing to sell it. TWC is vulnerable to potential investor and victim lawsuits, The Hollywood Reporter pointed out.
