RAW: Migrant boat set on fire by Libyan coastguard in Mediterranean

The Libyan coastguard picked up 8 inflatable boats with 1,047 migrants and refugees aboard before reportedly setting fire to the vessels off the Libyan coast on Saturday. The asylum-seekers were later handed over to the Immigration Control Agency in Zawya, west of Tripoli. The Libyan coastguard prevents migrants from trying to cross the Mediterranean Sea to Europe, with support from the EU.
