Iceland has become the smallest nation to ever qualify for the FIFA World Cup

Iceland officially qualified for the World Cup today making them the smallest country to qualify....ever. Iceland only has about 340,000 people living there at the moment about half the size of the previous record holder, Paraguay, in 1930. The small nation previously made waves in 2016 when they qualified for the European Championship and beat England in the round of 16.
