How to make Garlic Naan on tawa:\r
1.Combine all the dry ingredients -flour, salt, sugar, baking soda, baking powder in a deep bowl.\r
2.Make a well and add yoghurt, mix it well to make very soft dough. The dough should not be very sticky so if you need to add dry flour accordingly to make a non-sticky dough. Knead the dough well.\r
3.Apply little oil to the dough and cover it with a wet cloth. Leave the dough to sit for an hour.\r
4.After an hour removes the cloth and kneads the dough again.\r
5.Take one part of the dough and roll it in your palms like a ball.\r
6.Dust the rolling surface with dry flour and dust the balls with the dry flour. Do not roll the balls very thick or thin and it should not be larger than your tawa size.\r
7.Roll the balls into an oval shape using a roller. You can roll into any shape of your choice but I prefer to roll in an oval shape to make it just like served in restaurants.\r
8.Apply water on one side of the naan uniformly so that it gets stuck on tawa.\r
9.Heat the tawa on medium heat and once the tawa gets medium hot place the water side down on tawa and press it lightly so that the naan stick onto the tawa and when we flip the tawa upside down it will not fall down. That is the reason we will not take the non-stick pan to make naan.\r
10.Once the naan starts bubbling and changes its colour from the upper surface (It will take around 1 minute), remove the tawa from heat and put the griddle on the flame to avoid the direct cont of naan from the stove. Keep the flame on medium and flip the tawa upside down on griddle and cook the top for few seconds till you see the golden brown spots on naan.\r
11.Remove the naan from tawa and garnish it with butter. Apply butter mix over the naan.\r
12.Serve garlic naan hot with your favourite curry.\r
\r
How to make naan in a Pressure cooker:\r
\r
1.Take a pressure cooker and grease it very lightly with the oil so that after making naan it will come out easily.\r
2.Remove the lid and put the pressure cooker upside down and heat on medium flame.\r
3.Roll the naan in the same way like tawa naan.\r
4.Once the pressure cooker becomes hot take each naan and apply water on one side of the naan and place the waterside around the inside of the pressure cooker. You can put 2-3 naan at a time inside the wall of the pressure cooker.\r
5.Keep the pressure cooker upside down and cook on medium flame till golden brown spots appear.\r
6.Remove the naan from the pressure cooker and apply butter mix over the naan.\r
7.Serve hot with any Indian curry.\r
