U.S. And South Korea Run Joint Drills Near The Korean Demilitarized Zone
  • 7 years ago
As tensions rise with North Korea, American and South Korean troops are taking part in a mock battle near the volatile country's border.

The mock battle attempted to recapture a village from enemy combatants. Seven hundred troops are taking part in the four-day exercise. The U.S. Military says it's to prep them "to fight tonight" if necessary.

Tensions with North Korea are escalating. The country launched yet another ballistic missile over Japan, and President Donald Trump has threatened to destroy the repressive regime. The drill is one of many taking place on or near the Korean Peninsula.
