Micro Ear Toilet of Long-Standing Imped Earwax

This video shows removal of long-standing cumulated earwax as an outpatient procedure. Attempt at removal was performed somewhere else which was abandon due to intolerable pain. Removal or toilet was continued carefully under microscope view and complete clearance achieved. The ear canal appeared widened beyond the cartilaginous border (flask-shaped) and some reddish granulations seen. Suitable antibiotic and pain relief were prescribed. Comparison with the normal opposite ear is shown at the end of this video. NB: This procedure has be done under general anesthesia in uncooperative patient and in those who cannot tolerate pain.
