The filmmaker took to Twitter on Sunday evening, asking, “Has he opened up Mar-a-Lago as a shelter yet?”
“It's on an island on both the ocean & intercostal and in a mandatory evacuation zone...probably not the best idea, but you know, narrative!” Trump Jr. replied.
A spokesperson for the Trump Organization told CNN Wednesday, "Our teams at the Trump properties in Florida are taking all of the proper precautions and following local and Florida State Advisories very closely to ensure that everyone is kept safe and secure."
By Friday, Mar-a-Lago and Trump golf clubs in Jupiter and Palm Beach had reportedly been shuttered.
