Vertical Racers Climb Some Of The World's Tallest Buildings
  • 7 years ago
Tired of the same old workouts? Why not try vertical racing?

Hundreds of runners raced to the top of China World Tower, Beijing’s tallest building, climbing all 82 stories and 2,041 stairs. The winner completed the race in 10 minutes and 6 seconds, falling just 20 seconds shy of the course record.

The race is part of an 8-year, worldwide series called the Vertical World Circuit. Other races are held at buildings like One World Trade Center in New York and the Jumeirah Emirates Towers in Dubai. Scientists say there are no health risks to these grueling vertical races. Although if you're prone to dizziness, maybe just give Soulcycle a try.
