Political parties are struggling hard to catch voters pulse particularly in the urban area in the by-election bound Nandyal Assembly Constituency.
Based on the votes secured in the 2014 elections, the political parties are preparing strategies ensuring the parties retain the majority they got in urban and rural wards in the constituency in the prestigious by election to both YSR Congress and TDP.
In 2014 election, Bhuma Nagi Reddy and Shilpa Mohan Reddy secured equal number of votes in Nandyal town. In rural areas, YSR Congress leader Bhuma Nagi Reddy got 3600 votes majority which helped him to win the election.
In the by-election, 1.35 lakh voters in the urban area, out of 2.19 lakh total voters, emerged as crucial to win the election. Both the ruling and Opposition parties found hard to ascertain the pulse of urban voters this time. Analysts said parties which convinced urban voters will have more winning prospects in the election
