David Duke thanked President Trump after his press briefing on Tuesday.

Ex-KKK leader David Duke has expressed gratitude to President Trump for placing some of the blame for the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, on far-left factions, reports the Hill.
Duke tweeted Tuesday, “Thank you President Trump for your honesty & courage to tell the truth about #Charlottesville & condemn the leftist terrorists...”
Duke’s post pointed to NBC News' tweet that quotes Trump as saying, “George Washington was a slave owner...Are we gonna take down statues to George Washington? How about Thomas Jefferson?”
The president made these comments Tuesday during a news conference where he defended actions attributed to the alt-right, saying, “What about the alt-left that came charging at the -- as you say, the alt-right? Do they have any semblance of guilt?”
Trump later added, “...you had a lot of people in that group that were there to innocently protest and very legally protest, because you know -- I don't know if you know, they had a permit. The other group didn't have a permit.”
Furthermore, in remarks similar to his Saturday's statement, Trump said, "I think there's blame on both sides."
