The police are in dilemma whether to slap charges under attempt to kidnap against Vikas Barala, son of Haryana Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Subhash Barala, and his friend Ashish Kumar. Varnika Kundu, 29, alleged the two stalked her on Friday night.
The police which at first said that there was no CCTV footage finally managed to retrieve the same from a private camera. However the probe has not taken off as the footage that was retrieved was of poor quality. The police are finding it hard to ascertain whether an attempt to kidnap was made as was alleged by Varnika.
