These boat racers encountered a distressed bird of prey while on their weekly outing off Long Island, USA.

After spotting the bird struggling in the water, they realised it was entangled in a plastic bag, preventing it to fly off.

The good samaritans allowed the bird to stay on their boat until it regained energy and was dry enough to take to the air.
