President Donald Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr., has been asked to appear before US Senate committees next week.

He will be asked questions about the Trump 2016 election campaign’s alleged connections to Russia.

Two more close associates of the president have also been summoned. Former campaign manager Paul Manafort and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner.

All three men will speak to lawmakers investigating allegations that Russia tried to influence the US election last year. Both the Trump campaign and Moscow has repeatedly rejected the allegations.

Meanwhile, according to a New York Times interview, President Trump said he would not have appointed Jeff Sessions as attorney general if he’d known Sessions would recuse himself from the Russia probe.
