Healthcare activists staged a “die-in” protest outside US Senator Ted Cruz’s Dallas office on Tuesday, July 18. The protest was staged the day after two Republicans said they opposed the Better Care Reconciliation Act, effectively killing it.An effort on Tuesday to repeal the Affordable Care Act, commonly called Obamacare, without replacing it met enough opposition by Republican senators to kill it upon arrival.The protest was one of several that were originally planned by activist groups opposing the Republican bill to be held on Tuesday at Republican senators’ state offices.
