President Trump Defends Trump Jr. Again: 'Most Politicians' Would Take That Meeting

President Trump defended his son's meeting again in a tweet on Monday.

President Trump is once again defending Donald Trump Jr.'s meeting with Natalia Veselnitskaya, a Russian lawyer, to acquire damaging information on Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential campaign.
The president tweeted Monday, "Most politicians would have gone to a meeting like the one Don jr attended in order to get info on an opponent. That's politics!"
The tweet follows a series of posts on Sunday, in which he said, in part, "HillaryClinton can illegally get the questions to the Debate & delete 33,000 emails but my son Don is being scorned by the Fake News Media?"
During a press conference on Thursday, Trump echoed similar thoughts.
"I think from a practical standpoint, most people would have taken that meeting. It's called opposition research," Trump said. "That's very standard in politics. Politics is not the nicest business in the world, but it's very standard where they have information and you take the information."
However, many seem to disagree with the president's view including Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, who told reporters, "Anytime you're in a campaign and you get an offer from a foreign government to help your campaign, the answer is no."
