This Exoskeleton Will Make Soldiers Into Superheroes
  • 7 years ago
by Anthony FalcoA warrior web program from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency is developing an exoskeleton suit that could greatly increase a soldier’s strength. The suit is equipped with pulleys and gears that directly assist the muscle groups employed during heavy lifting. Given that soldiers are expected to carry more than 100 pounds of gear in various combat situations, the exoskeleton was designed to reduce fatigue and prevent injuries. While the program has been under development for more than three years, researchers say the exoskeleton suit is still years away from being used on the battlefield.
