Donald Trump Jr.’s June 2016 meeting with a Russian lawyer has earned him a Time magazine cover.
Donald Trump Jr.’s June 2016 meeting with a Russian lawyer has earned him a Time magazine cover, reports Axios.
His picture is surrounded with excerpts from his email exchange with Rob Goldstone, the man who arranged the face-to-face meeting with the attorney said to have damaging information about Hillary Clinton.
The cover also says, in bright, bold lettering, "Red Handed.”
Trump Jr.’s Russia troubles began over the weekend with a series of reports from the New York Times.
Those articles became more detailed as the days passed and on Monday night the Times wrote that the president’s son, “was informed in an email that the material was part of a Russian government effort to aid his father’s candidacy, according to three people with knowledge of the email.”
That reporting was confirmed on Tuesday when, in the interest of “transparency," Trump Jr. posted the email exchange with Goldstone to Twitter.
It shows that Goldstone described the information available as, “…very high level and sensitive,” and, “part of Russia and its government's support for Mr. Trump…”
Trump Jr. replied, in part, “I love it.”
