Trump Resumes Attack On 'Morning Joe' Hosts, Refutes National Enquirer Claim

President Trump resumed his Twitter attack on Morning Joe hosts Friday.

President Trump was quick to tweet what appears to be a response to the ‘Morning Joe’ hosts’ Friday morning Washington Post op-ed regarding the president’s disparaging Thursday statements about them.
Just hours after the piece was published, Trump said via Twitter, “Watched low rated @Morning_Joe for first time in long time. FAKE NEWS. He called me to stop a National Enquirer article. I said no! Bad show.”
In the op-ed, Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski wrote, “This year, top White House staff members warned that the National Enquirer was planning to publish a negative article about us unless we begged the president to have the story spiked. We ignored their desperate pleas.”
Soon after Trump’s Friday rebuttal tweet appeared, Scarborough took to the social media site as well, writing, “Yet another lie. I have texts from your top aides and phone records. Also, those records show I haven't spoken with you in many months. Why do you keep lying about things that are so easily disproven? What is wrong with you?”
Trump’s original and inciting Thursday Twitter comments read, “I heard poorly rated @Morning_Joe speaks badly of me (don't watch anymore). Then how come low I.Q. Crazy Mika, along with Psycho Joe, came to Mar-a-Lago 3 nights in a row around New Year's Eve, and insisted on joining me. She was bleeding badly from a face-lift. I said no!”
