Wat Rong Khun is a breathtaking temple near the town of Chiang Rai, Thailand. Also known as “The White Temple,” the color represents Buddha’s purity. The temple goes a step beyond paying homage to just Buddha — there are pop-culture figures like Batman and Elvis around the site. The creator of the temple, artist Chalermchai Kositpipa, says the figures strongly promote the Buddhist message.
