A huge ruckus broke out in Tamil Nadu's Palani town after a pro-Hindu group seized a truck carrying calves to Dindigul, forcing the police to resort to lathicharge to control the situation.Transporting of cattle between Palani and Dindigul is a routine affair. They are used for various agricultural, domestic and dairy purposes. The men transporting the cattle claimed that the animals were being transported for dairy purposes only. But the workers of this pro-Hindu group did not buy this argument .
