Cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar, among others, lavished praise on Kidami Srikanth for claiming the Australian Open title with a stunning win over reigning Olympic and world champion Chen Long. Srikanth won the match in straight games, 22-20, 21-16 to win his career's fourth Super Series title. With this win, he became the sixth player in the world and the first Indian male badminton player to play in three consecutive Super Series finals.
