Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor: Here's What We Know So Far
  • 7 years ago
The fight between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor is on.

And here’s what we know so far.

The bout will take place on August 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas at a weight of 154 pounds… just a few pounds over Floyd’s preferred class… and they will wear 10 ounce boxing gloves, not 12, and it will be a Mayweather Promotion.

If Floyd wins this fight, he will be the first boxer to have a 50 and 0 record… and if Conor wins, he’d be 1 and 0. At least in boxing.

The MMA star is expected to make somewhere in the ballpark of 100 million dollars, with the lion’s share going to Floyd.

Ticket prices have not been set, but there is some thinking that the pay per view will cost around 100 bucks. Maybe even more.

According to UFC president Dana White, Conor wants to defend his lightweight belt in December regardless of the outcome of his match with Floyd.

But some experts think this could be the last time he ever fights.

Either way, buckle up for this one. It’s going to be a hell of a ride.
