US-Backed Syrian Rebels Claim Rocket Attack Against Iran-Backed Militias

Syrian militias backed by the United States and its allies have recently been trading fire with other fighters backed by Iran as tensions grow in the eastern and southeastern Syrian deserts, according to government and media reports.This video, posted by the Syrian rebel group Forces of Martyr Ahmed al-Abdo to its YouTube channel, is described as showing the launch of a barrage of short-range rockets at militias backed by Iran on June 5. The Forces of Martyr Ahmed al-Abdo have been reported to have received weapons and aid from the United States.Concurrently, US-backed forces are trying to remove Islamic State militants from Raqqa, their last bastion and capital of what they claim as their caliphate.
