Everything you need to know about Christopher Wray

President Trump just named Christopher Wray as his nominee for FBI Director. Here's what you need to know about him. Wray worked under fired FBI Director James Comey at the Justice Department for two years, when Comey was the deputy attorney general. He has also worked alongside former FBI director Robert Mueller, who is now special counsel for the Justice Department’s investigation into Russia’s role in the 2016 election. Wray was nominated in 2003 by President George W. Bush to service as an Assistant Attorney General in charge of the Criminal Division. Since departing the Justice Department in 2005, Wray has been a litigation partner in D.C. and Atlanta where he chairs the King & Spalding Special Matters and Government Investigations Practice Group. Wray represented New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie during his "Bridgegate" trail. A former graduate of Yale Law, Wray beat out another former Bush administration official, John Pistole, and Joe Lieberman among others.
