On May 29, thousands of people demonstrated outside of the Bank Markazi in Tehran and clashed with the suppressive forces who were trying to disperse them. Angry protestors broke windows at the bank and blocked Mirdamad Avenue. They chanted slogans, such as “Down with Saif [head of Bank Markazi]”, “Caspian has stolen, Bank Markazi has supported”, and “Incompetent government, shame, shame!”
