Over a Dozen Killed in Blasts at Kabul Funeral for Victims of Protest Violence

At least 19 people were killed in Kabul, Afghanistan, when several blasts struck the funeral for the son of deputy Senate speaker Mohammad Alam Izadyar on June 3. Salem Izadyar died from injuries sustained during anti-government protests on June 2.The Taliban denied that it had any role in the attack, blaming factional rivalries in the government’s own camp.
